Alumni of High School District 214 are invited to a morning of food, reminiscing, networking and more at the inaugural "Social Studies" alumni networking event, hosted by the District's Alumni Advisory Council.
The event will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, March 30 in the Daily Herald's office center, 155 E. Algonquin Road in Arlington Heights. It will include a continental breakfast from Tasty Catering, ice-breaker activities from The PlayGround Games for those seeking throwback school vs. school competition, and a raffle. Bob Paddock, Arlington High School '63, will welcome the group as the Herald's Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President; Jeff Przybylo, Forest View High School '86, will serve as emcee.
All District 214 alumni -- all schools and all classes -- are welcome with their guests. Attire can be business, or wear your school colors. The price is $10 in advance, or $15 at the door; 100 percent of the funds raised will go to the District 214 Education Foundation, supporting innovation and student success District-wide.
Register online at www.d214.org/alumni, selecting the "Social Studies" link. Future Social Studies events include an after-hours social Thursday, June 29; a comedy-fueled lunch Thursday, September 28; and a New Year celebration Thursday, December 28. Look for more details on those events soon at www.d214.org/alumni.
The Alumni Advisory Council, whose members represent all eight of the District's original schools, serves as a catalyst to foster lifelong connections between alumni and the District and create, enhance and facilitate meaningful opportunities for alumni to engage with and support the District and each other.
