A Successful Night of Hoops

On Friday, February 10th, Hersey hosted a night of hoops.  The Boys Basketball Teams played Wheeling High School, followed by the District 214 Special Olympics Basketball Team game against Barrington's SO Basketball Team.  We would like to thank Coach O'Keefe and Wheeling Basketball, who were gracious enough to move the start times of their games so that the Special Olympics could enjoy the primetime spot.  We would also like to thank former legendary Chicago Bulls Announcer Ray Clay for announcing the game, as well as everyone who came out and packed the Ken Carter Gymnasium in support of this great event.  Mr. Dyer, The Special Olympics Coaching Staff, and our Partners Club are all to be commended on an outstanding job for putting together this magical evening.

Kelly Helmer, Hersey Media Intern, put together some clips form the game.  To view this, please click here.

Again, thanks to the Hersey, Wheeling, and Barrington Communities for supporting a wonderful evening of competitive basketball and great sportsmanship!
